Simple Baked Apple Tarts

You bet I’ll cycle for apples. Not only is it a balancing act but there’s nothing like the taste of an apple pie. Even if it’s of the rustic variety.
I added the chopped zest of one lemon to the dough for a delicate citrus perfume. Then came the sliced apples and a few blackberries and a sprinkling of sugar and cinnamon.  Fold the dough on the outer lying edges on top of the fruit, brush with cream, or egg wash the top, and sprinkle with sugar.

Bake at 350 until brown and crisp. Enjoy hot with some whipped cream and a cup of tea.
